Red Bull Racing are used to being at the top of the list when it comes to pit stop times, but since the FIA changed the pit stop regulations the Austrian racing team has struggled to repeat the trick. The United States Grand Prix saw a new winner.

Ferrari was fastest, with a pit stop of just 2.24 seconds for Carlos Sainz. Next was Aston Martin, where Lance Stroll made a stop in 2.27 seconds. Fernando Alonso with Alpine closes the top three: they made a stop of 2.29 seconds.

Ferrari new winner, Red Bull struggles with pitstops

Red Bull Racing is midway through the top ten, with Max Verstappen's pit stop coming in at 2.40 seconds. Immediately followed by teammate Sergio Perez with a time of 2.43 seconds.

Ferrari leads the list for the first time this season. This is not surprising, because prior to the new pit stop rules Red Bull was virtually unbeatable. A stop under two seconds is no longer possible since the change, something that several teams seem to suffer from.
