Official: Hamilton and Mercedes do not appeal against disqualification!

Mercedes will not appeal the disqualification of Lewis Hamilton. The FIA announces this one hour before the start of the sprint race at the circuit of Interlagos!
A team can appeal against any decision by the stewards, but the German formation has decided not to do so. The chances of reversing the decision would also have been very minimal.
Hamilton will have to start the sprint race from the back of the grid. The seven-time world champion will have to work his way up the order as quickly as possible because, on top of his disqualification from qualifying, he will also be put back five places for Sunday's race. The Mercedes driver changed his combustion engine this weekend.
The Team will not be appealing Lewis’ disqualification from Quali.

Hamilton confirmed in P20. If Mercedes had appealed, he would have started P1, but it also would have put all results from that point on at risk #F1 #BrazilGP https://t.co/FclAAsLt4b
