Why won't Mazepin compete in FP2?
- GPblog.com
Nikita Mazepin will have a new chassis in Qatar. The reason for this is not yet clear, but it is known that the Russian driver will be forced to miss the second free practice.
As for all other drivers, it is Mazepin's first time in a Formula 1 car at the Losail International Circuit. So, precious track time is lost for the 22-year-old driver and his American team.
Mick Schumacher is now the only one who can collect data on Friday in the run-up to qualifying for Haas. In the first free practice the German shot off the track and ended up in the gravel. Although he managed to make it to the pit lane, the session was over for him.
