F1 Daniel Ricciardo makes himself heard on Instagram
11 October at 09:30

Daniel Ricciardo has shared some behind-the-scenes photographs of his (likely) final race weekend in Formula 1. Following the Singapore Grand Prix, the Australian was ousted from the Visa Cash App RB seat. Liam Lawson has replaced the eight-time Grand Prix winner and will complete the 2024 F1 season for VCARB. For the first time since saying goodbye, Ricciardo has posted on Instagram.

Ricciardo's long-term future has not yet been finalised. He has been offered to remain linked with the Red Bull family by completing various promotional tasks. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said the team wanted to see how Lawson compared to Yuki Tsunoda and that nothing is yet confirmed for the 2025 Formula 1 season. But it does seem likely that the Singapore Grand Prix was Ricciardo's final F1 race with Horner also alluding to the younger talent in the Red Bull Junior Team.

In the closing stages of the race, Ricciardo pitted for soft tyres and took the fastest lap. In doing so, he took one point away from Lando Norris who is in a World Championship title fight with Red Bull's Max Verstappen. It means Norris has to bridge a 52-point gap with six race weekends remaining.

Ricciardo posts on Instagram

Ricciardo posted when the news was announced. He posted a photo of himself walking away. He then went a few days without posting, but on Thursday night, he provided an update. He showcased some behind-the-scenes photos of his time in Singapore. David Coulthard and others reacted to the driver in the comments. Check out Ricciardo's photos below.
