Qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix is over. During the F1 qualifying session in Las Vegas, Max Verstappen and his competitors battled for the best spots for tomorrow's starting grid. Here are the results of qualifying.

In Las Vegas, qualifying for Sergio Perez - Verstappen's teammate - once again ended in drama. The Red Bull Racing driver got no further than 16th place and was thus out of Q1. For Perez, this is the sixth time in 2024 that he has failed to progress beyond Q1.

Verstappen - who experienced some difficult practice sessions - progressed steadily. The Dutchman, who opened the hunt for his fourth Formula 1 world title this weekend, slowly crept to the top of the field. Battling with McLaren, Ferrari and also Mercedes, Verstappen was able to keep pace well.

The third part of qualifying in Las Vegas was briefly postponed, due to a hard crash by Franco Colapinto. The Williams driver drove his car rock hard, which created a major problem for the British racing stable. Williams has no spare parts, so it remains to be seen whether Colapinto will be able to race in Las Vegas.
