Once again, Liam Lawson has failed to make it out of a session that sets up the grid for the upcoming event. The Red Bull driver finished P20 in Sprint Qualifying in China.

After he got eliminated in Q1 in Australia, Lawson once again failed to make it to the second session in Sprint Qualifying in China. He was not on a flying lap by the time the chequered flag was waved, and fell down the order to last position

On the team radio, the New Zealander said: "Mate, I'm really sorry, but I just... I honestly could not get the tyres down." Meanwhile, both Yuki Tsunoda and Isack Hadjar has made it through to SQ2 at the Shanghai International Circuit
