Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean will lose their seats at the end of the season, but where Grosjean points to the money of his successors, the Dane sees a lot of potential in his possible replacement.

Magnussen does not hold a grudge

Magnussen and Grosjean have been evicted by Günther Steiner and have to look for a new seat. Haas seem likely to choose for Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin in 2021 and with both of them, a lot more money comes into Gene Haas' pocket. However, according to Magnussen, this is not the most important reason.

''There are some really good drivers available, but Schumacher has to be on that list. I don't know anything about that list and Günther and Gene keep him out of it, but I assume he is on that list. I have spoken to him and he is a very great talent. He drives fantastic in the Formula 2 championship'', the Dane praises Racefans.net.

Pay drivers

According to Magnussen, it is not all about the money in F1. ''It is difficult to call someone a 'pay driver' in Formula 1, because every driver brings his commercial value with him. There are drivers who pay a cheque and then get their seat because their family has a lot of money and then just buy the team'', Magnussen refers to Stroll among other things.

However, Magnussen does not hold a grudge. ''All drivers are very good and bring a certain value to the team. Whoever will be in that car. I think they are looking for a package, but I don't know yet who that will be. It would be better if the drivers had more experience, but I think they will choose young drivers'', concludes the Haas driver.
