Gianpiero Lambiase and Max Verstappen agree: George Russell is to blame for the damage to the Dutchman's RB19. Over the board radio, a strong sneer was therefore directed at the Mercedes driver during the sprint race.
Verstappen lost position to Russell on the opening lap after a tough fight, but on the restart, he soon managed to put things in order. The 25-year-old Limburger was awake and overtook Russell through a slipstream.
Lambiase then said over the board radio: 'Great job, Max. And without contact too.' Verstappen responded wittily: 'Yes, I do know how to do that.'
