In Barcelona, the Formula 1 drivers got the chance to get behind the wheel of the new 2022 cars. This gave them a good idea of the cars they will be racing this year for the first time. Pierre Gasly looks ahead to the tracks where he would like to try out his new AlphaTauri AT03.
Gasly says he is excited about the new car in which he will start the 2022 season. "The car seems to work very well at high speeds and that's usually the most fun," says the Frenchman in conversation with Formula1.com.
Gasly looking forward to classic circuits
The AlphaTauri driver says he is most looking forward to circuits like Silverstone and Suzuka. If the drivers are able to sit a lot closer together in the races, Gasly says that could provide a lot of adrenaline. "That's what we're always looking for," he concludes.
The next chance to test the new cars will take place during the winter test in Bahrain, which is scheduled from March 10 to 12. Gasly previously indicated that he has his sights set on a re-match at Red Bull Racing in 2023.
