After a blistering qualifying session that saw an intense battle for pole between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, expectations for the Bahrain Grand Prix are even higher. Given the time difference with Bahrain, we clarify the start time of the race once again.

What time does the Bahrain Grand Prix start?

The Bahrain Grand Prix will start at 15:00 on Sunday afternoon. The race is run over 57 laps and will last until around 17:00. At that moment we should know who has won the first race of the year.

It is expected that it will be between Verstappen and Leclerc, just as it was during qualifying, but Carlos Sainz could easily join the fray. The more important will be the role of Sergio Perez, who will try to keep Sainz away from his teammate.

The Haas and Alfa Romeo teams are also likely to cause surprises. Valtteri Bottas and Kevin Magnussen qualified in sixth and seventh place respectively and may even be able to compete with Mercedes, whose drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will start fifth and ninth.
