Praise for Sainz: 'This is very important for his career'
- GPblog.com
It came as no surprise to many that Carlos Sainz has extended his contract at Ferrari. The deal through 2024 is causing positive reactions online.
Ferrari has completed their lineup
Sainz made quite an impression in his first year for Ferrari in 2021. The Spaniard made the switch from McLaren to Ferrari seemingly easily and even finished above Charles Leclerc in the championship. Although the difference in points was not representative of the proportions within the team, the son of the rally champion of the same name had made a good impression.
Prior to the 2022 Formula 1 season, Sainz and Mattia Binotto already let it be known that a deal was on the table and that it was just a matter of filling in the details. That has now happened and on Thursday both parties officially announced the extended cooperation. It generated a lot of positive reactions.

Great way for Ferrari to kick off the build up to home race numero uno. Well deserved for Sainz, even with a slightly frustrating start to ‘21. He’s still scored two podiums in three races https://t.co/7PF93uBLR5

Very happy to renew two more years with @ScuderiaFerrari! Putting on this suit and representing this team is a great honour for me. Ferrari is fighting again at the front of the field and I’ll give it all to try and win both Championships! Vamos!
