Max Verstappen showed his positive side on Friday in Italy by setting the fastest time during qualifying, giving him pole position. However, the Dutchman has still not forgotten the problems he had in Australia, he told Viaplay.

The reigning world champion hopes to fight alongside Charles Leclerc for the world title this season, but things have not gone his way for Verstappen so far. During the opening race in Bahrain, he was sidelined with technical problems, but this was again the case in Australia.

Thanks to his victory in Saudi Arabia, Verstappen is in sixth place in the world championship but is a long way behind Leclerc. Verstappen, therefore, knows that a lot has to happen this weekend in Imola if he is not to increase the gap on Ferrari further, while in the meantime he hopes that his car continues to work.

"We had a fuel pump problem of course and a hydraulic leak," Verstappen told in the interview. "They say everything is fixed, just from our side, there is a question mark as to why this is happening. We will see this weekend if everything is solved and improved."
