Things are not going well for Guanyu Zhou in Imola. During the sprint race, the Alfa Romeo driver collided with Pierre Gasly and ended up in the wall. Not only does this mean he will have to line up at the back at the start of the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, but he will also have to do so from the pit lane.

Zhou must start GP Imola from pit lane

A document from the FIA has revealed that Alfa Romeo had to carry out repair work on Zhou's car. As this is not allowed under the Parc Fermé rules, the rookie must start his race from the pits.

According to the rules, all cars must be delivered within two hours of the sprint race, after which they are sealed by the FIA. Alfa Romeo did not meet that deadline, which meant that the stewards could not supervise during the work.
