Like Verstappen, Alonso also had a bad start: "Have to see what happened"

Fernando Alonso was allowed to start the sprint race in fifth place, but in the end he only crossed the line in ninth place. The Spaniard is obviously not satisfied with that result, but he hopes to get revenge in Sunday's race. He will, however, have to hope for a better start.
Alonso fails to get off the mark
Not only Max Verstappen had a mediocre start in the sprint race, but Alonso also did not get off the mark very well. The Alpine driver immediately lost two places when the lights went out and then found himself behind Magnussen. Meanwhile, Valtteri Bottas also passed him and a ninth place was the maximum. Just no points for Alonso.
"We already had problems in the formation lap and at the start, so we have to see what happened," Alonso stated afterwards. Speaking to AS he further explains: "There was a problem, we lost a lot of positions. I don't know exactly what happened, I asked on the radio what it was and they said: 'We'll talk about it in the office'"
The DRS seems to be very strong at Imola, but Alonso says he personally didn't feel much of it. For many laps he drove behind the Haas F1 car of Magnussen, but he could not pass him. "For some it was easy, for me it didn't seem so easy. It depends how you come out of the last two corners, how strong you are there, but we were not so strong in that part of the circuit," said the two-time world champion.
