Wolff relieved that 'team boss parade' at Miami GP will not take place

The organizers of the Miami Grand Prix had intended to add a completely new idea to the entertainment surrounding the first Formula One race, but decided to draw a line under it. This to the great relief of Mercedes team owner Toto Wolff.
The organizers wanted to add something to the program that had never been seen before: a parade prior to the race, not only with Formula One drivers, but also one with all the team bosses.
Miami GP wanted team boss parade
Daniel Ricciardo already reacted somewhat laughingly to the idea. "I don't want to be disrespectful to the team bosses, but it's a bit of a strange idea, isn't it?", he said according to Speedweek.com. The team bosses evidently agree with the McLaren driver, as the idea now seems to be off the table.
So there will be no team bosses parade in Miami, much to the relief of Toto Wolff and others. "I love the fans, but I think the spotlight should be on the drivers. They are the athletes, they are the gladiators in a way, but not us," said the Mercedes team boss.
