"The question is how will Leclerc and Verstappen interact then?"

Little by little, Ferrari and Red Bull Racing seem to be making the battle more fierce off the track. Marc Surer is curious how long Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen will keep each other whole, and the Swiss also expects a quick return from Mercedes.
Ferrari versus Red Bull
At the beginning of the 2022 Formula 1 season, Ferrari and Red Bull were still praising each other. The battle between the two teams was mainly going to take place on the track and there would be less scheming than in the battle between Red Bull and Mercedes, both parties claimed. However, there seems to be less and less of that love.
Mattia Binotto announced after the Miami GP that he assumed Red Bull could not bring many more updates. Red Bull would have already spent a lot of money, according to the team boss of the Italian racing team. Red Bull denies that and Helmut Marko even stated that Carlos Sainz has already cost his team a lot of money with all his crashes. The stings are already being dealt out and may become even more severe.
Return of Mercedes
On the track, things have been friendly between Leclerc and Verstappen so far, but the question is for how long? '' I don't know how those two will interact when we enter the decisive phase of the season,'' says former F1 driver, Surer, opposite F1insider.com. In addition, the Swiss believes that Ferrari and Red Bull will soon have an additional opponent.
''I believe Mercedes will be strong from the Monaco Grand Prix onwards. They have an extremely good car for that narrow street circuit. If I am right, then the battle for the world title will take on a completely different dimension,'' Surer concludes.
