'Vettel says goodbye to Formula 1 at end of season'

Marc Surer thinks that Sebastian Vettel's Formula 1 career is over. According to the former F1 driver, the German will see out his contract and then leave the sport.
Vettel had to leave Ferrari and found a new challenge at Aston Martin. The four-time world champion let it be known that he is not in F1 to drive around at the back, but that is the reality at Aston Martin. The German's contract expires at the end of 2022 and there is a good chance, according to Surer, that Vettel will not renew that contract.
Vettel serves out his contract
In a video from Formel1.de the Swiss states that Vettel will say goodbye to the British team at the end of this year. However, according to the former Arrows driver, Vettel has not thrown in the towel yet. He drives at the back, but just came back despite a positive coronavirus test at the beginning of the year. He could also have thrown in the towel, but continues to do his job.
The team also seems to be making progress as a result, but whether it will be enough to tie Vettel to the team for longer is still be be seen. As a four-time world champion, it must be difficult at that age to motivate yourself for battles for tenth place. Surer also does not see any other top team signing the German: the youth has already surpassed him.
