Verstappen saw Ferrari improve: 'Think they're a little better off'

Max Verstappen missed his last chance at pole position but is not unhappy with his second starting position. He hopes Red Bull Racing will have an advantage in tire management during the race, but saw Ferrari improve there as well.
"I did click the button but it didn't open," Verstappen explained to Viaplay. He was then forced to abort his lap, but at a later point, the system appeared to be working again. "They asked me to check it again after turn nine and then it did open. Very strange."
Tires play big role in GP Spain
Over the whole weekend, Ferrari seemed to have more pace compared Red Bull. "In terms of speed, I think they are just a little bit better for it," continued the Red Bull driver. "Overall, it was a slightly more difficult weekend for us."
During the race, Verstappen hopes to be in a better position, as tire degradation is likely to play a major role. Still, he saw his rivals improve there as well. "I hope we are a bit better on the tires, but when I look at that run in the third free practice it looks very strong with them as well," said the world champion.
