Max Verstappen has increased his lead in the drivers' championship after the Monaco Grand Prix. The Dutchman is running ahead of Leclerc with a difference of nine points. After the Spanish Grand Prix, the difference between the rivals was still six points.
Verstappen benefits from Ferrari blunder
It looked like Leclerc was going to run away with the win in Monaco, but a strategic error by Ferrari meant the Monegasque ended up behind Verstappen's RB18. In the end, the Dutchman ended up with a P3 on the podium, moving further ahead of Leclerc in the championship.
Sergio Perez picks up a lot of points in the championship with his victory and moves closer to Leclerc. Carlos Sainz is only one point away from George Russell's fourth place after his P2. In the out of ten there were no further shifts.
