Max Verstappen acknowledges that he is not yet handling the RB18 very well. The reigning world champion sees that Sergio Perez has come closer, but also doesn't want to make things worse than they are.

RB18 suits Perez better

In 2022 Verstappen has already won four races and is at the top of the world championship, but the Dutchman is not yet completely comfortable. Where Max had the RB16B completely to his liking, that is not yet the case with the RB18.

When Verstappen is asked at the press conference if it is true that his teammate feels more comfortable in the car, Verstappen is according to Speedweek.com clear: ' 'In general, that observation is correct. He can handle the 2022 car better than he did a year ago.''

What does Verstappen need

''I need a front that can turn in very sharply. At the moment I don't want to say that I am uncomfortable in the car, because after all I have already won four Grands Prix with it. However, these cars are heavy and you want to feel the front. That feeling is not there yet so I can't attack the corners like I did last year.''

However, the man who currently leads the championship with 125 points and has already won four races, does not want to dramatize it. According to the Dutchman, in this case it is only about the details that can still be improved.
