Internal strife at Red Bull? 'Then Perez will race for the title'
- GPblog.com
Ralf Schumacher sees a small internal struggle at Red Bull Racing. The former F1 driver thinks Sergio Perez has a chance at the title, as long as he can maintain his current form.
Can Perez go for the title?
Perez is enjoying a strong second season at Red Bull and according to Schumacher, this brings with it an internal battle with Max Verstappen. The Mexican himself did say after the Azerbaijani Grand Prix that it was a wise team decision not to fight each other at the Baku City Circuit.
"As long as Perez can maintain his current level, he will try to race for the title," says Schumacher in his column on the German branch of Sky Sport. In doing so, the German does say that he himself thinks Verstappen will have the longest run this season.
Verstappen is consistent
"I think Max Verstappen is the most consistent of the two drivers throughout the season," Schumacher let it be known. According to Michael Schumacher's brother, Verstappen still has a few things to learn, especially when it comes to qualifying. In the race, on the other hand, Verstappen is doing a lot easier, according to Schumacher.
