Lammers sees no worries for Red Bull: 'They just have the fastest car'

Max Verstappen experienced a tiring race at Silverstone on Sunday afternoon. The Dutchman had problems with his car early in the race and had to limit the damage. According to Jan Lammers, Red Bull Racing can be satisfied with the result, he told NOS Studio Sport.
The reigning world champion was clearly disappointed afterwards. With a seventh place, he had won points for his team despite the problems with his car, but he could not compete for victory in England. Lammers believes Verstappen should let go of this thought with his team.
"Max and Red Bull can just be super happy, because they just have the fastest car," Lammers stated. "They didn't make the pole position on Saturday because of a yellow flag incident. And on Sunday they didn't win the race because of damage to the car."
Perez makes the difference at Silverstone
Where Verstappen was fighting with his car, Sergio Perez managed to drive to second place. Lammers believes that is the proof that the Austrian formation with the car is capable of beating all other teams normally.
"We saw Perez driving who showed the potential of the car. If you see where he came from in the race, I think there is an inconvenience now but on balance they can be very happy," said Lammers, who congratulated Carlos Sainz on his victory.
