Vettel writes remarkable letter to fan: 'Go support Schumacher now'

Sebastian Vettel has called on his fans to support Mick Schumacher after his Formula One exit. The German is retiring at the end of the season, leaving many fans behind.
Before the Hungarian Grand Prix, Vettel announced via an Instagram message that he is putting a stop to his F1 career at the end of the season. The German has many fans in the sport, but he hopes they will support Schumacher after his departure.
The Haas driver has been under pressure all season. Team boss Guenther Steiner wants to see better performances from the German. He started the season with two heavy crashes that cost the team a lot of money, but Schumacher also managed to get his first F1 points in Austria and Silverstone.
However, there are rumours that Schumacher may not have a seat at Haas for 2023. The team might not want to extend his contract, but talks will only start after the summer break. On Monday it emerged that Steiner had contacted Daniel Ricciardo prior to the Hungarian GP. It looks like the Australian will lose his seat at McLaren due to the arrival of Oscar Piastri.

"Go and support Mick now, he needs it", the four-time world champion writes at the end. The two Germans are good friends and the 35-year-old driver has already given Schumacher a lot of advice.
