Debate | Verstappen will also win the last six GPs in F1 2022
- GPblog.com
Max Verstappen's victory in the Italian Grand Prix means the Dutchman is continuing his excellent run. Verstappen has taken the top prize each of the last five race weekends. With his current form, it seems unlikely that anyone will stop him from winning this season.
The current Formula 1 season has six more GPs. In 2022, the teams will travel to Singapore, Japan, the United States, Mexico and Brazil, after which the racing year will end as usual in Abu Dhabi. In Singapore, Verstappen can already secure his world title, although it will take a lot.
While the Monza circuit's long straights and fast corners gave Verstappen a big advantage, the Dutchman has shown in other race weekends that he can also perform on a less favourable track for Red Bull Racing. He has proven on several occasions this season that a grid penalty does not prevent him from winning.
Verstappen in unbeatable phase
The question, therefore, arises as to whether other drivers or teams will be able to make things difficult for Verstappen this season. Ferrari are not having the best time of the season, while Red Bull are still on fire and confident enough to impress the competition.
Verstappen has shown he can take victory on the circuits of the United States, Mexico and Brazil in recent years, and he will be a contender on the other race weekends as well. It will therefore come as no surprise if the reigning world champion is able to maintain his current run until the end.
