Andretti Global has started building a new headquarters. This should eventually also become the headquarters from which the future Formula 1 team will be managed.

Andretti Global, the sister company of Andretti Autosport, has started building a new headquarters for its racing teams and technology. The office of over 53,000 square metres will be built in Fishers, Florida. Michael Andretti, the company's CEO, was joined at the start of construction by Indiana governor Eric J. Holcomb, Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers and Fishers mayor Scott Fadness.

New step for Andretti

''The planning of our new global headquarters has been an exciting process, and we’re happy to be breaking ground and have steps underway to see our plans come to life,'' said Andretti in the Andretti Global press release.

The new headquarters, due to open in 2025, will house Andretti Autosport's current racing projects. Now Mario and Michael's names appear in IndyCar, Indy NXT, IMSA, Formula E and Extreme E. However, Andretti dreams of moving to Formula 1.

Andretti looked at the possibility of buying over Sauber, but it was eventually done by Audi. Andretti would like to enter F1 as its own team, but is being held back by F1 for now. The team will have to meet strict requirements and thinks the new headquarters will bring it one step closer.
