The FIA Prize Gala 2022 is just around the corner. What exactly does this event entail, why Max Verstappen will make another appearance and where can it be followed this year? You can read all about it here.

FIA event

The FIA Prize Giving is an annual event where all championships that come out under the FIA banner hold their prize-giving ceremony. Races like the Grands Prix in Formula 1 always have a separate prize, but the trophy for the FIA World Championship is only awarded at the end of the season by the FIA themselves.

Under the banner of the FIA, in addition to the Formula 1 world championship, the world titles for Formula E, Rally, Rally-Raid, Endurance and Rally-Cross are also awarded. In addition to the various world titles, there are also numerous awards handed out to other classes covered by the FIA and there are also separate awards for drivers. Thus, young talents and Esporters are also specially highlighted.

Formula 1 drivers are also required to come together, although it turned out that you can be absent. Last year, for instance, Lewis Hamilton was absent after he lost the championship-deciding duel in Abu Dhabi. Yet this year, everyone is expected to attend.

This year, Max Verstappen will again come to collect his prize in suit and Red Bull Racing can take the constructors' world title for the first time. The event is held in Bologna and, as always, there is a neat dress code, which means you will see drivers in different capacities for once in front of the camera.

Where can you follow FIA Price Giving 2022?

This year's event can be followed on the FIA's social channels. From 20:30 Dutch time, a live stream will be available on Tiktok, Facebook and YouTube. That live stream will also be available on GPblog.com later this Friday.
