Lewis Hamilton has little reason to be satisfied after the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix. The Mercedes driver came no further than ninth place after an overall lacklustre Formula 1 weekend.
Hamilton not happy after Saudi Arabian GP
In qualifying, Hamilton had to settle for an eighth starting position. From there, he eventually managed to gain just one spot: he crossed the finishing line in ninth place. By Viaplay faced with his somewhat defeated body language, the Mercedes driver responded in sarcastic manner: "Well, I came ninth..."
Hamilton, at least on high-speed tracks, is anything but happy with the W15. "Just high-speed performance is really bad with our car. We've been fighting three years in a row and, hoping for our car to be fighting further forwards. And then, to be faced with this scenario, it's a tough reality, but it is what it is, and I still raced as hard as I could," he admits.
The 39-year-old Briton hopes Mercedes can perform better in the upcoming F1 races. "I gave it everything out there. Once we add a ton of performance and high speed, we'll be in that fight because the car is good in other areas," Hamilton concluded.
