Max Verstappen was left irritated after his performance at the Italian Grand Prix. For the sixth race in a row, the Dutchman failed to win and already let it be known after the race in Monza that there will be no more wins this year if Red Bull continues like this. Team boss Christian Horner is still hopeful of a good end to the season, however.

Verstappen was furious after Italian GP

Verstappen was, of course, annoyed after the race. Since the Miami Grand Prix, Red Bull has completely lost the dominance it once had in 2023. "You've got to question everything. You have to question has something else changed? You have to leave no stone unturned. Where were we before? In Miami, China, or Japan? But when the car is in the window and it works, like you see in Austria, for all four sets of tyres, Max puts the car on pole position. And was easing, the race was easily into one pit stop." Horner commented after the race.

Can Red Bull still turn the tide?

With the rapid advance of McLaren, Mercedes and also Ferrari, Horner is convinced Red Bull can catch up. "Everything can swing so quickly. And so if we get it right, we'll fix the problem. We've just got to address it. And I'd like to congratulate Ferrari today. On winning their home race. And Charles on winning the Grand Prix as well. So, I was pleased to see a Ferrari win today."

The gap between Red Bull and McLaren in the constructors' standings has shrunk to just eight points. Verstappen still leads by 62 points in the drivers' standings, but McLaren and Norris will continue trying to close that next time out in Singapore.
