Sergio Perez posts Christmas message for his fans
26 December at 15:30

Sergio Perez will not drive in F1 the following season, after his seat at Red Bull Racing went to Liam Lawson. For the first time since the announcement, the Mexican driver posted on social media.

Perez makes his first post after Red Bull farewell

Perez had a rather disappointing year in 2024, something he acknowledged himself. The Mexican could not finish on the podium since the Chinese GP, and was the only driver competing for a frontrunner team that was unable to win a race. His most promising weekend in Baku also finished with a crash after making contact with Carlos Sainz.

The team and the driver therefore decided to part ways. From 2025, Liam Lawson will become Verstappen's new teammate, while Isack Hadjar will team up with Yuki Tsunoda at VCARB

On Christmas Day, Perez posted for the first time again since he announced he won't drive in the '25 season. The driver put a loving message for his fans online at X. "Merry Christmas, may God bless your homes and bring peace! At this time of the year, we should always think of the less fortunate! I wish you all the very best and most of all peace!", 'Checo' shared.
