Kubica couldn't manage "very bad handling" of Williams car in Austria

Williams driver Robert Kubica has admitted to having another very difficult race in Austria for his team, as the Pole explained the hot conditions made it more difficult for him to control the overheating car.
Qualifying last but starting from P17 because of grid penalties for other drivers, Kubica actually made up a couple of places at the start of the race, but quickly regressed back to the mean afterwards.
The Grand Prix winner dropped to last place and stayed there for the rest of the race, being lapped three times and once by teammate George Russell. After the race, he admitted to struggling massively under the piping hot conditions.
“It was a difficult race," the 34-year-old said.
"The pace was not there. I gained a few positions on the opening lap, but then the handling was very bad. I tried to defend but it was so difficult to keep the cars behind.
“I am lacking overall grip and in these conditions when it is hot, when there is a lot of overheating and the tyres are suffering a lot, I am just sliding even more.”
