Alex Albon admits some blame for crash with Pierre Gasly in Germany!
Toro Rosso's Alexander Albon has said that he takes some of the blame for the crash with Pierre Gasly that ended the Frenchman's race in last weekend's dramatic German Grand Prix.
Gasly went for a move on the Thai driver as they headed into the stadium section of the Hockenheim track, with the pair colliding as Albon tried to defend the position.
According to GPToday.com, Albon said in Hungary: "Initially when I saw the video after the race, definitely from the external shot I come across quite hard.
"And then I saw Gasly's onboard... my initial thought was I wanted to go right, but I didn't want to cut him off completely.
"I just wanted to cover him to go left. But I think the closing speeds for me and for Pierre, we both got caught out.
"I moved too late to the right and he too also moved too late to the right. So, I don't blame Pierre but I don't also blame myself. I see it more as a 50/50."
