Could the Italian GP be on the move?
Monza has been the traditional home of the Italian Grand Prix but its dominance could be under threat as Mugello circuit has plans to make a bid to host the race from 2025.
Mugello hosts MotoGP and is owned by Ferrari and the circuit is ready to have a go at taking over hosting duties from Monza.
Monza recently signed a new five year deal to host the race at the circuit just outside Milan until 2025, but there have been money issues surrounding the circuit for a while, so Mugello could be ready to step in if needed.
Circuit director Paolo Poli told Corriere dello Sport: "The first objective will be to renew the agreement with MotoGP.
"But then in five years we will also think about applying to bring Formula 1 to Tuscany.
"Unlike other Italian circuits, Mugello is not state run, from 2006 to 2016, Ferrari made huge investments to raise the infrastructure quality.
"The bar is constantly rising and we are ready to keep that pace."
