Sunday evening it was time for the virtual Grand Prix of Monaco at the F1 2019 game of Codemasters. With eight official Formula 1 drivers at the start of the race, the field was more competitive than ever.

The most important session during the Formula 1 weekend in Monaco is always qualifying, as there is hardly any overtaking during the race. Pietro Fittipaldi will therefore have done a dance after he managed to put his car on pole during the rained out qualifying in princedom. George Russell was allowed to start from P2, followed by David Schumacher.

Duels everywhere

However, Fittipaldi couldn't enjoy it for long, as he had already lost his first place to Russell at the start of the race. The Brit then didn't look back and managed a great race, finishing almost forty seconds ahead of the number two. Number two this time was Esteban Gutierrez and Charles Leclerc finished on the podium during his home race.

During the race there were again several duels between top drivers. Leclerc and Gutierrez fought hard for second place and Lando Norris also collided with other drivers several times. Debutants Valtteri Bottas and Esteban Ocon did not have a great debut. The Finn finished eleventh and Ocon wasn't in the game during the race after an already disappointing qualifying session.
