Ferrari questioning Silverstone: "We'll see..."
- GPblog.com
At the moment the season is not yet running as planned for Ferrari. After a difficult GP in Hungary, Ferrari's current weakness was exposed once again. And the statement by Ferrari's top man John Elkann that the team would only be competitive again from 2022 onwards doesn't make the outlook any brighter.
So these are going to be difficult times for the Italian team. Nevertheless, the drivers were looking forward to the double race weekend at Silverstone with satisfaction. Sebastian Vettel on ferrari.com: "I am really looking forward to Silverstone, because the track is great. I think we all love it." Yet Vettel also fears the possible weather conditions: "The weather and temperatures are usually unpredictable and that is another reason why it is not easy to find the right balance with the car. We'll see how our car behaves".
Leclerc less positive
Charles Leclerc was a little less enthusiastic about the track than his German team mate: "We will have to learn as much as possible during the opening days and keep our heads down to make good progress. It's pretty cold out there and the changing weather conditions make it a challenge to predict how the race weekend will go".
