Formula 1 is back in Belgium and there everything looks a bit more like it used to be. The fans still have to stay away from Spa-Francorchamps, but the impressive motorhomes of the teams will return to the track.

The coronavirus turned the Formula 1 season upside down and the sport returned in a different way. No fans and no impressive buildings on the paddock. Everything remained very simple, but from the Belgian Grand Prix onwards that will change. The Formula 1 teams are taking their motorhomes with them again.

Motorhomes return to the paddock

To reduce the risk of the coronavirus spreading, teams stayed in small containers within the paddock. However, according to Auto, Motor und Sport, the motorhomes are returning, because the teams have found out that renting the containers and arranging food costs more than if they bring their motorhomes themselves.

In order to prevent the spread of the virus, the team building the motorhome will be separated from the racing team, but this creates extra work. With three races in a row, it will not be an easy task to build on this motorhome. Whether the motorhomes can be seen as a whole is still unclear. VIPS and other guests are still not welcome, so it doesn't seem necessary to build everything up for the weekend.
