Red Bull Racing has long been known for their lightning-fast pit stops. This year, the British team is doing no less. Red Bull also still holds the record for the fastest pit stop ever: One comma eight seconds!

Max Verstappen, as a Red Bull driver, can certainly talk about that. He knows better than anyone what it's like as a driver to enter the pit lane: "If you enter the pit lane, and you do your stop, then of course you are most focused on stopping at the markings. The mechanics know exactly how to position their wheel gun. And after that, yes, we rely on them. But I mean, it's going so incredibly fast. Especially when it's just one comma eight seconds. And you really feel like it's a good stop or not. I have to say that at the last Grand Prixs, and also last year, we made a lot of very fast stops." says Verstappen on the podcast of Red Bull.

What can a quick pit stop get you?

In a sport where tenths of a second can be crucial, Verstappen knows how important it is to have a fast pit stop: "It can really make a big difference, especially when you're in a group with other drivers. But at least it feels good to come in, knowing you have a good group of guys who can change your tyres quickly. I just have to stop on the lines."
