Verstappen indicates pain point: ''That's why we often have boring races''

The Italian Grand Prix was a big disappointment for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman dropped out after he had not been close to a podium during the whole race. The driver of Red Bull Racing is aiming for 2022.
Verstappen aims at 2022
There was the hope that in 2020 the title battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen would be completely open. Nothing could be further from the truth. Mercedes is still the fastest team under the current regulations, so it is looking forward to 2022. Verstappen still has a list of wishes for that season.
''Of course it will help if the tyres are better as well, but the biggest problem is with the cars. They are just super fast and you just can't follow them or join other drivers. You lose so much downforce in the slower corners and all these factors mean that we often have boring races'', says Verstappen in an online press moment from Red Bull.
Horner the right man?
In 2021 there will also be some minor adjustments to the car, but they won't be a miracle, according to Verstappen. ''They may want to make some aerodynamic changes in 2021, but the cars are just too fast and too wide. That's also a problem''. According to the Dutchman, the man who has to lead the team at Verstappen is the right man in the right place.
''Christian Horner is just a real racer. We get along very well and I also think he can motivate the team very well. He puts people in the right place and gets along very well with all those people'', concludes the Red Bull driver.
