Ralf Schumacher is sure of it: "He has everything needed for F1"
- GPblog.com
Mick Schumacher is doing good business, he has taken the lead in Formula 2 and as long as he continues to perform well he will win the title this year. That opens the way to Formula 1, although his surname will undoubtedly help a lot as well. In fact, Uncle Ralf Schumacher is already sure, who will see his nephew driving in Formula 1 next year.
Always one of the fastest
"Mick is on the right track towards Formula 1 and I've always said it's important for Mick to be in the top three", Ralf Schumacher starts talking about his nephew in his column at Sky Sport Germany. "Now he's also won, is always one of the fastest and he's leading the championship."
"His development over the year is promising. So I can't imagine Mick won't be driving in Formula 1 next year. One thing is very certain: he will definitely have what it takes to drive in Formula One next year." According to his uncle, Mick Schumacher has more than proved himself over the years as he has always been in the lead.
"He came second in Formula 4 and won Formula 3. Now he is the leader of Formula 2 at the moment. He has performed well in several classes in recent years and has proven to be one of the best. It is clear that he has the potential to drive in Formula 1."
If it comes to that, it is likely that Mick Schumacher will drive for Haas or Alfa Romeo. He is one of the Ferrari juniors, but the top team with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz is already scheduled for next year.
