'Verstappen can leave Red Bull after 2021'

It seems that there are clauses found in Max Verstappen's contract which show that he can leave Red Bull after 2021. That is what De Telegraaf writes today.
Verstappen still has a commitment to the Austrian team until 2023, but it now seems that he can leave Red Bull for that. "The Dutchman will have to wait and see what Red Bull comes up with and what will happen in the rest of Formula 1. There is a lot going on behind the scenes. He has one advantage: he has a way out after 2021 anyway."
"Despite the fact that his contract will continue for another two years, Verstappen can leave after next year due to a clause in his contract in case Red Bull can't offer him a competitive car or engine," writes the Dutch newspaper.
Turbulent week
The news comes after a turbulent week for Verstappen his team Red Bull Racing. Yesterday engine supplier Honda announced that they will stop supplying power to Formula 1 teams from 2021 onwards. This means that Red Bull and AlphaTauri will have to look for a new engine soon. The Japanese engine manufacturer wants to focus more on achieving climate targets. The company wants to be completely climate neutral by 2050.
It seems that Red Bull may have to return to Renault if no other solution is found. The French race stable is obliged to supply engines to the team at Verstappen if it fails to find another supplier.
