Hamilton has doubts about the future: 'Do I want to go on for another three years'

Lewis Hamilton may be on his way to his seventh world title, but the Brit is still without a contract for 2021. Hamilton does not care about that, however, and does not seem to have a definitive answer for the time being.
Still no new contract
Hamilton has been driving for Mercedes since 2013, after a long partnership with McLaren, when he also used Mercedes engines. In recent years this partnership has been very successful and Hamilton looks set to take his seventh world title. However, Hamilton is in no hurry to sign a new contract.
"Normally, when we sit down and talk about it, we plan for three years. However, we are now in a different time. Do I want to go on for another three years? That is also a question, just as there are so many unanswered questions. We're entering a new era with the cars in 2022, so that's exciting and I'm curious what those cars will be like," says Hamilton according to Racefans.net.
Other teams can forget Hamilton
However, as long as Hamilton does not have his world title in his pocket, he does not want to think or talk about a new contract. ''We will have to get round the table at some point, but that is not a priority at the moment. First I have to make sure I reach my goal this season. Personally, that is my top priority now and the only thing I'm doing."
Where there were rumours earlier about a move to Ferrari, Hamilton does not talk to other teams at all. "I'm not talking to anyone else and I have no intention of doing so. Toto and I will go back to the table and plan our future further. The future will show what that will be, but now I can't say much more. Hopefully sometime in the coming months," concludes the Mercedes driver.
