Almost a week after the dramatic weekend for Red Bull Racing in Turkey, the team is reflecting on what could have been. Max Verstappen has been explaining the team's disappointment.

Satisfied on Friday, disappointed on Sunday

Verstappen was able to do a good job in the practice sessions in Turkey. During the free practice sessions, he recorded the fastest times. Strikingly enough, the Dutchman could not keep up with this on Saturday afternoon during qualifying. Verstappen had to compete against none other than Lance Stroll.

Verstappen was very disappointed. In a Red Bull statement the driver said: "Although the conditions on the track were very difficult on Friday, I was very pleased with the balance of the car and how it worked."

Disappointment throughout Red Bull

"We had a good momentum for the weekend, so it was obviously disappointing for everyone on the team to finish sixth in the race," Verstappen continued. "There were some problems and it looked like our rear tires were wearing out faster than others.

"Not just me, but everyone on the team left Turkey very disappointed. We all want to win. I don't think we are going to see these track conditions again this season. So the last races will be a lot more straightforward."
