Kvyat hoping for an opportunity to prove himself in Formula 1

Although officially nothing has been signed yet, it seems that Daniil Kvyat will not drive in Formula 1 next season. The Russian is already assuming this and hopes to return to another team in 2022.
Tsunoda probably the replacement
Rumours have been circulating for some time now that Pierre Gasly will have a new teammate at Alpha Tauri in 2021. Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda is most often mentioned as Kvyat's successor. Tsunoda had a strong Formula 2 debut season with several victories and a third place in the overall standings.
Although Kvyat took an excellent seventh place in the race yesterday, he accepts it is a tough sport to hold your place
"It’s a tough sport. The competition here is tough, also the politics are in play. It’s normal, I can accept it after many years around here," said the Russian according to RaceFans.net.
Hoping for a return in 2022
Kvyat admitted he is happy with his strong weekend in Bahrain and hopes to get a chance to prove himself in F1
"I still feel like I have a lot to give to Formula 1. I know that if an opportunity comes I will be able to fight for a world championship, that’s for sure. So it’s just about timing. Sometimes timing was great in my career. Sometimes it was very poor."
