‘If they wanted to replace Albon, Red Bull would’ve already announced it’

Jan Lammers says that he believes Red Bull will not replace Alex Albon, due to the length of time they have taken to announce it. Lammers seems to be guessing, because it hardly makes a difference.
Team mate Max Verstappen
Most teams have already announced their drivers for 2021, but Red Bull have not yet confirmed. Both at Red Bull Racing and AlphaTauri there is still a seat up for grabs. At AlphaTauri it is expected that Yuki Tsunoda will be announced soon. It remains to be seen whether Alexander Albon will remain a teammate of Verstappen. "If they had wanted to replace Albon, Red Bull would have already announced that," Lammers speculates.
"Red Bull has made a mistake in the past by letting Pierre Gasly go too early. He has had a very good season at AlphaTauri." But Red Bull can't ignore the fact that Albon lags far behind Verstappen. "So much difference that Max had no support at all from him.”
Nevertheless, Lammers gives Albon the best chance to win the seat. "In principle I think Albon will stay, but if it is going to be changed, I think it will be Perez. He seems to have the best chances at the moment."
