Bottas: "I feel like I'm getting better each year"

With a narrow lead of only 9 World Championship points over Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas managed to finish the season in second place. There is a lot of discussion about the choice of Mercedes to stay loyal to Bottas, while there might be better options.
Bottas 3.0?
The season started, just like 2019, with a 'new and improved' Bottas: This would be his year, and he started the season strong with a victory. For the rest of the season, however, he only managed to win one race.
Still, Bottas ends the season with a good feeling. "Looking back on this season, there are a lot of positive things to take away. I have been able to improve myself in many areas. Not enough to win the title, but I keep pushing," he says to Formula1.com.
Bottas, who finished the season 124 points behind teammate Lewis Hamilton, thinks the difference between the two drivers is smaller than it looks.
"I had bad luck in some races, and I lost points there. Sometimes Lewis was better. I know the difference in points seems big, but in the end the margins were very small. I think it's enough to win, and I will continue to strive for that. I feel like I'm getting better every year, and that gives me hope and motivation for the future," Bottas said.
