In 2017, McLaren swapped the silver colour for the historic orange livery. In the past, McLaren drove with orange, but in the time of Malboro and Mercedes, it was gone. Orange, however, seems to be given an even more prominent role in the livery in 2021.

The bios and status updates of various drivers have been an interesting topic of conversation in 2020. Nine times out of ten, it turns out to be unrelated to any actual upcoming news, but it always keeps things busy. So too now, with the new picture from McLaren.

New colours for McLaren?

In recent weeks, McLaren has already given many hints about the new livery. For example, the MCL35M will be presented after Valentine's Day, on February 15. The biggest addition to this car is, of course, the Mercedes engine and until now the colours in the pictures seemed to hint at an orange-blue livery, but is this going to change?

McLaren has changed their profile picture on Twitter on Monday morning. This is of course not earth-shattering news, but where the logo used to be black with a white background, this has now changed to a white logo with an orange background. Orange and white were the colours of M7A from 1968, with Bruce McLaren, Denny Hulme and Dan Gurney behind the wheel.
