"Gasly and Albon's problems are fundamentally down to their own shortcomings"

Are Red Bull Racing building their car around Max Verstappen? It's a frequently asked question, as each of his teammates has more trouble with the car than Verstappen.
There have been suggestions that only Max Verstappen's driving style works for the Red Bull, and that the team tunes both cars to that driving style. According to Scott Mitchell of The Race, it is just the opposite, he explained in a video on their YouTube channel.
Verstappen style is a myth
"This theory ignores the fact that Verstappen does not want a car that is a few tenths slower than Mercedes, has aerodynamic problems at the rear, and spins at low speed," Mitchell explained.
"In addition, Gasly and Albon's problems are fundamentally down to their own shortcomings as drivers, especially compared to Verstappen. That Red Bull would tailor their car to Verstappen's driving style is a myth, as is the existence of that driving style."
Verstappen's greatest weapon
He continued: "If Red Bull gave Verstappen the car he wants and needs, there is a good chance it would suit other drivers better too. Instead, in 2020 they had a fickle car, something Verstappen could just handle better than his teammates."
"The reason behind that is a sign of how good Verstappen is. His greatest weapon is his adaptability. That's a trait he shares with some of the best drivers in the history of Formula One," Mitchell said.
