Not every Formula 1 fan will be keen on esports, but there is no denying that it is an increasingly serious branch of the motorsport world. During this coronavirus pandemic, it has filled in the gaps when racing was not possible on the circuits. That is why the F1 teams themselves are putting more time and money into it.

The latter can certainly be said of Red Bull Racing's latest project. They've built a veritable esports arena at the Milton Keynes factory, which they've renamed the Red Bull Racing Erena. The name came about through a competition among the fans, which was won by Bjorn from The Netherlands.

The end result is impressive. The decoration of the room reminds one of a science-fiction film. Anyone who has seen Tron will agree. But it is not just a show. Inside, the best equipment from Fanatec and Playseat is set up. After an intense session, drivers can unwind in the chill room with a game of table football.
