Will the predicted rain for the Grand Prix still fall?
- GPblog.com
There have been many hopes for a rainy race this past week. A rainy race on the circuit of Imola during the GP of Emilia-Romagna, on such a technical, legendary track? Who wouldn't want to see that?
Forecasts
For a long time, the forecasts for the rain race seemed to come true, with a 71% chance of rain. This could bring the teams closer together and make for an even more exciting race. But it won't be the first or the last time that rain has been forecast for a whole week, only for the race to be held in complete sunshine.
Not a cloud in the sky
Does it seem to be going that way today as well? If the Twitter feeds of journalists like Adam Cooper are to be believed, there's no sign of any rain so far.
There was talk of rain for today, but so far it's a beautiful sunny Sunday morning at @autodromoimola, complete with church bells ringing in the distance. What a great place to be: pic.twitter.com/GlxSSwqRWg

Although the official weather channels still maintain that there's a 60% chance of rain at 2pm today, so far that's far from the case. Whether or not it will actually rain is something we will have to find out during the race.
