F1 looks forward to Miami GP: 'Noticed America is an important market for us'.

Formula 1 is continuously working on broadening its target group and attracting new fans and Liberty Media has been pushing for a second American Grand Prix for a long time, because there is a large target group in the United States that can be reached. F1 is now taking the first step with a Grand Prix in Miami.
"We are immensely pleased to reveal that Formula 1 will race in Miami from 2022. The US is a key in the growing market for us and we are motivated by our growing reach in America, which now gets an extra boost from this exciting second race We will work hard together with the team in America and the FIA to ensure exciting races, but also to support the local population," explained Stefano Domenicali in F1 press release.
Negotiations have taken a long time
Domenicali continued that it is also good progress for local tourism in Miami. "We are happy for our fans and the local tourism industry that they have shown the patience and support during this process. We are hugely looking forward to bringing the racing spectacle to Miami for the first time in our sport's history."
Together with specialists, F1 spent a long time looking at what could be the best circuit for Formula 1, while also allowing Miami to benefit from all the fans that will be passing by. In the end the choice was made to run the circuit around the Hard Rock Stadium, with the stadium as the centerpiece.
