After the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix it is clear that we did not have a lopsided race in Bahrain. Mercedes and Red Bull Racing will fight it out for the constructors' title this year. Despite the victory of Max Verstappen, Mercedes is still in the lead.

Mercedes versus Red Bull

After seven years of dominance by Mercedes, there finally seems to be a fight for the world title again in 2021. However, the battle is on two fronts. While Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton seem to be battling it out with the drivers, Red Bull Racing and Mercedes are fighting it out for the teams title. At the moment Mercedes has the advantage.

Behind the two top teams, there is another nice duel going on. McLaren has received competition from Ferrari in 2021. With Leclerc, Sainz, Ricciardo and Norris this also makes for great duels, while AlphaTauri also seems to have the speed to join these teams. However, due to various circumstances, the points have yet to come in Italy.

Alfa Romeo seemed to be getting rid of the hatred zero in Imola, but, Kimi Raikkonen had to hand in his points at the end of the race. That meant the first points for Alpine, with Esteban Ocon and Fernando Alonso on P9 and P10. Besides Alfa Romeo, Williams and Haas are still waiting for their first points. For Haas, it seems a utopia to score points in 2021.
